New Universal Music signing SVEA has today shared the video for her debut single Don’t Mind Me. An instantly catchy slice of R&B infused pop, Don’t Mind Me carries a strong message of female independence and a do it yourself attitude.

Speaking about the self-written track, SVEA explains:

‘Don’t Mind Me is about self-love and self-dependence. I want to encourage young women to enjoy their own company.’

A recent graduate of the prestigious Rytmus Music High School in Stockholm, where previous students have included global pop icons Robyn, Tove Lo and Icona Pop, SVEA is the latest fledgling artist to come out of an area with a growing reputation as a hotbed of musical talent.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Kehlani and Banks, SVEA is already creating something of a ‘one to watch’ buzz back in her native Sweden. She recently played an incredibly well received gig at Dieselverkstaden in Nacka, on the outskirts of Stockholm.

Don’t Mind Me is set to be followed by a second single and an EP release in the coming months, as well as a series of live dates later in the year.
